England international Walker has linked up with the Rossoneri on an initial deal through to the end of the season after bidding farewell to the reigning Premier League champions. A fresh start has been sought after facing plenty of challenges on and off the field.

Walker is expected to be joined in Italy by his wife Annie Kilner and their four children once family living accommodation has been arranged. For now, Kilner – who has seen her husband father two kids with ex-Love Island contestant Lauryn Goodman – continues to be based in the UK.

She was in attendance for Walker’s Milan debut, in a derby date with Inter, but the 34-year-old was by himself when helping the Serie A giants to a 3-1 victory over Roma in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia – keeping them on course for more major silverware in 2024-25.
