U.S. international Johnny Cardoso and Real Betis drew Fiorentina 2-2 on Thursday after extra-time in the second leg of their UEFA Conference League semifinal match with the Italian side, advancing to the final by an aggregate score of 4-3 over both legs.
After the regulation period ended 2-1 in favor of Fiorentina, a 97th-minute winner from Moroccan winger Abde Ezzalzouli secured them a berth into the competition final, while Manchester United loanee Antony bagged the assist on the effort.

Cardoso started and played the entirety of both matches, logging 210 minutes of action plus stoppage. On Thursday's second leg, he played an integral role in the midfield, completing 93 percent of his passes and one attacking chance. In total, he registered 69 touches on the ball and completed 100 percent of his long ball attempts (three).
With the feat, the La Liga side have made their way to their first European final, where they will meet English giants Chelsea FC as they play for their first European trophy in the club's history.
